July Digital Literacy Newsletter
As we move into the heart of summer, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible progress we’ve made together this past fiscal year. From expanding our reach into new communities to empowering hundreds of individuals to navigate technology with confidence, your continued dedication is truly transforming lives.
In the image below, you’ll see just a few of the many comments shared by customers—each one a powerful reminder of the impact you’re making every day. Your work continues to meet people where they are and help them move forward. Thank you for all that you do!
I will be on vacation from July 1–13. If you need assistance during that time, please contact our Program Manager, Jennifer Eaton. Jennifer will have the digital cell phone (585-606-9523) and can also be reached at JEaton@LiteracyRochester.org.
If you are planning to take any vacation during that period, please let me know as soon as possible so I can update the schedule before I go out.

Join us for an informational session on the recent updates to the Social Security Administration (SSA) website, aimed at simplifying the sign-in process, aligning with federal authentication standards, and enhancing overall security. This session will review the Login.gov and ID.me processes, the two secure identity verification platforms now required to access many SSA services online. Volunteers will gain the knowledge and tools needed to assist clients with creating accounts, navigating the updated website, and troubleshooting common issues—all while providing patient, supportive guidance to individuals who may be unfamiliar or uncomfortable with digital identity verification.
