ParticipantHello,
I have a returning patron who needs help finding affordable housing in Detroit MI. I’ve been helping her submit inquiries to everything she can afford, and calling places that fit her budget so they can’t ignore an email. The Section 8 applications in Detroit are not open, so she can’t apply for that. Does anyone know any other housing assistance I could help her apply for? The main problems we are running into is that she needs to bring her cat, she uses a walker so it needs to be accessible, and it has to fit her social security income ($600 or less a month). Getting housing assistance would open up a lot more opportunities for her.
Thanks,
Cedar Woodward

KeymasterHi Cedar,
I can definitely help you look for housing for this patron. Is this person over 55 years of age?
